Down Under

Let's take a ride to Australia... Here we find a crew called Bliss 'n Eso
with MC Bliss, MC Eso and DJ Izm. The first EP was released in the
year 2000 called "The Arrival" (a really scientific combination..),
since then they pushed the LP counter to six supplemented with a
bunch of singles. Here's a song from their last LP ("Running on Air")
with a video made in form of a consecutive graffiti... Some people
maybe know the style from blublu.org but nice to see it in a music
video with a sound like this.. Addicted!

All Comes Back...

One of the LP's I was really waiting for goes by Jahdan Blakkamoore,
called "Babylon Nightmare". Jahdan comes from Brooklyn/NY and
this might be the best reason for the musical mix he's doing. From
deep Roots to Hiphop and Dubstep, no matter which kind of sound
it's always on point with a steady varied vocal performance.
It can't be better for my personal choice, but decide for your self!

Here's the promotion text for his new LP, perfect description for
a great artist and a great album; Babylon Nightmare’s roots run
deep and Jahdan’s vocal abilities, creative intelligence, vast
influences and melodic sensibilities are finely displayed throughout

This is the first single called "All comes back to one" also check the
reggae remix of the song!

Superman

Yes I know - the one is not new but hey; it's Tarrus, it's good music
and it have to be spread! Don't have to say anything about Tarrus Riley,
just check this video for the song "Superman" (at least the video was
was released in november so some kind of new stuff anyway!)
Lay back, give your lady a hug and enjoy!

Billy Jean

ROOOOARRRR !! That's the sound of your speaker from the
moment you press the play button for the new Irie Ites production
all the way from France. The selection is released with a Hiphop
and a Reggae version, featuring typical Irie Ites Artists like
Spectacular and Lutan Fyah but also baaaad tunes from
Konshens, Elephant Man and Sizzla! You can get it soon
on 7'' and also Digital.

The Yard

Time for some stuff which will stimulate your ears as well as your
eyes! At least not new but always good to know, the duo called
Trolle Siebenhaar from Kopenhagen/DK. Singer Ana Trolle and
Martin Siebenhaar met each other at a reggae party and from this
they started experimenting with music... the result is a nice mix of
miscellaneous musical styles from reggae over hiphop to electro.
To give you an appetizer adorned with a nice video; "The Yard"
from the 2008 released LP called "Couple Therapy"....

Another song from the LP Couple Therapy
"Not good enough"

Police!

Mr. Benn nice up things again! Check this remix of the song
"Police" by Blackout JA from Great Britain... Seems like we'll
have some more Island releases coming up. BOOM BANG!

Right now - SPECIAL DELIVERY for you! Two Remixes

The Riddim is a relick of the alltime classic "Revolution" from
Dennis Brown ('83). There's a countless amount of songs on
so many different versions of this riddim that I won't list them
here... To pick out some big one's; Barrington Levy "Black
Roses" and "Here I Come", U. Brown "Tu-Sheng Peng",
Johnny Osbourne "Rubba Dub Feeling" and many more...

Buju's song was originally released on the Bad Boys Riddim
in 2009 called "Girlfriend"... no more longer talking;

Holiday

This one is going out to all my hard working people. Just turn it
loud, lay back, relax and imagine some nice place where you
want to be... Holiday feelings all the way from Bermuda with
sunny greetings from Mr. Collie Budd!

Pressure & Slide

Alright, let's start it from the begining and how it comes to this
post respectively to this remix... I found this nice video called
"Rub a Dub" which is a mix of stencial art and animation. The
soundtrack for it is a dub version of the "Pressure & Slide"
Riddim, original by Prince Buster in 1966...

....and this is the one from Prince Buster,
called "Shaking Up Orange Street"

No need to say that there're many more hit songs on the
Pressure & Slide Riddim but; while listening to the version
of the video I thought that maybe some acapella would
fit very good on it.. and so it come to this Ward 21 Remix.
Download it right heeeere >> Zippyshare

Lazy Sunday

Imagine.. it's sunday, last night party was bad to the bone and
you wake up with one thing on your mind - today i won't do
anything - except the good things you need to do for the perfect
lazy sunday. Ladies and Gentleman, this is Bruno Mars with the
soundtrack for day's like this, enjoy it!

Quality since '95

J-Live is back again! The MC, DJ and Producer from New York
did a relaunch of his website and with this he droped a brand new
track called "The Way I Rhyme". The song is featured on his EP
"Undivided Attention" which was released this week. Dope beats,
dope cuts, niiiiiiiiice one! For all my sample nerds; the scratches
are taken from the oldschool classic "It takes two" by Rob Base
and DJ EZ Rock, released in 1988 (!!)

Something about Love

Some readers of this blog maybe recognized that it's not only
about new stuff (..as most of the posts..). Primary it's about
good music for every mood no matter which genre. Of course
it's possible you know the songs, if not - be happy that things
changed.. Let's turn the time machine back to 2006. Swedish
producer Freddie Cruger released the LP "Soul Search"
(highly recommended!) with the song "Running from Love"
featuring the swedisch hiphop legend ADL. The instrumental
is spiced up with a vocal sample from soul singer Johnny Nash.
No more longer talking; here's a pocket full of musical love,
who want something?

NorthWest Confidential

No big headline picture this time cause
you're about to see a really long video -
not long in time, it's damn long in height!
Thai Matic is from London and trust me,
a really dope MC! The video is for the
song "Northwest Confidential" (sadly
only 1.11 mins long..) but something
you might never see before this way.
100% S-T-Y-L-E. His LP is available
for free download right HERE

Aloe Blacc

Everybody's talking about Aloe Blacc and nearly no party,
radioshow or music channel can go without playing his song
"I need a Dollar". It's one of those songs you hear one time
and you'll never forget. Same for me, so from you didn't know
the studio live version...

This is the first blogg mix!! DOWNLOAD FOR FREE on
Megaupload or Mediafire. 60 minutes in the mix - Latin,
Afrobeat, Hiphop and a breeze of Reggae...

Millions of Styles

FuryBass from France produced another Million Stylez
banger! The riddim is in a well-proven reggae/hiphop
style which will move the audience from early..It's a
relick of Peter Broggs "International Farmer from 1985.
Maybe this was the reason for Million Stylez to drop a
class one smoker anthem on it...

And here's the original Song...

Lauryn Again

The Lauryn Hill Saga continues... for all who can't wait for a new LP;
here's a little placebo. It's a compilation of known and also some
unknown songs which she recorded in 2004 for a never released
album called "Khulami Phase". Here's my favorite "Blame it on
the sun", which was already featured on another compilation [...]

Lauryn Hill - Blame it on the Sun

This one is neither new nor on the LP but always nice to hear..

Hocus Pocus

This one is for a good friend of mine, because I know that
he knows the place where the Band "Hocus Pocus" come
from.... Let's go back to 1995, to a place in France called
"Nantes". The two MC's 20Syl and Cambia started with
the project and have released 5 LP's till now. The 2010 LP
is called "16 Pièces" and features one of my favorite Soul
Singers from the UK - Alice Russell. The Song is called
"Beautiful Loosers" and is framed with a sensational video.
Check it up and turn it loud!

Little Titans

First time I heard this song, I was like wooow - what the f***!
It definately sounds like a old soul/rap song but to my surprise it's
quiet new and after getting some more informations I was even
more impressed about it....
The fifth-grade MCs aka the 3 Titans came from Brooklyn and
got a nice style while riding over the Menahan Street Band
instrumental. They don't talk about money, car's and girls, they
talk about college expectations and "The life of a scholar" ...
What I really like is the authentic way they do it, really looks
like the just enjoy it and got love for the music.
Important to mention, you must love the music if you got a
band like the Menahan Street Band, featuring musicians from
Antibalas, El Michels Affair, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings
and the Budos Band. The group was founded by Thomas
Brenneck while living in an apartment on Menahan St.
in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York.
Check out Daptonerecords for more...

And here's the second song "College"

Shame

We have some soulful posts comin' up so let me open the
session with this classic tune from 1970. Founded in 1954,
they were also known as the "The Motown Spinners" and
"The Detroit Spinners". Their last song in the top 100 was
back in 1983, but the band is still playing.. The song we
talk about today was written and also produced by Stevie
Wonder. It's about the sometimes complicated relationship
between woman and man. "It's a shame" is a classic BIG
TUNE which was also performed in a smooth reggae style
by the rocksteady legend Alton Ellis inna top-a-top
Studio One style...

It's a shame, by Alton Ellis

And finally; this is the oldschool hiphop version
performed by Monie Love

I have to quote a Youtube comment for this song because it's
exactly what I think; "Gimme a thumbs up if you wish hip-hop
still sounded like this" ... two thumbs up by dizzlematic

Dancehall is dead

Something's goin on ... on the battlefield of reggae vs. hiphop
remix business. Well, after "Distant Relatives" nobody will
wonder about hearing Nas on Reggae or Dancehall influenced
Hiphop Beats but anyway - this one is really nice!
Don't expect a LP like "Mos Dub" or "Dub Kweli", this
Sampler includes some classic Hiphop Remixes spiced
with bouncing beats and also some Carribean style.
Produced by "Insight" from Boston and higly recommended.
This LP isn't a free download like the one's by Max Tanone,
but here you can listen to some tunes;

Nas - Whose Word Is This (Insight Reggae Remix)

Nas - It Ain't Hard To Tell Ft Cee-Lo (Insight Reggae Remix)

Nas - Fast Life Ft Kool G Rap (Insight Reggae Remix)

Champion

Maaaaaaaad stuff!!! As a friend of mine said in one of his
songs; "The good things come to those who wait.."
To be honestly, yes too much time passed through since
the last post but with this one, we're back!
MY SOUND is a relick of the relick so lets start with the
original by soulsinger Wendy Rene - "After Laughter".
The Song was released in 1964 on the legendary Label
"Stax", it was her first and sadly her only hit.

The Wu-Tang-Clan sampled this song for "Tearz"
released on the 1993 LP "Enter the 36 Chambers"
no need to say that it was one of the most requested
songs on this trailblazing album.

Time for the main event; Jamaican born artist Skarra
Mucci, by the way one of the most versatile voices
from europe, droped a musical bomb! Produced by
Weedy G. from Switzerland this version of After
Laughter will kill everything! Classic 45 soundkiller
style with straight forward lyrics and approved to
mash up every club! My Sound is available for
FREE download, so don't hesitate and get it NOOW!!

Reloaded

Old time something come back again... but in a real fresh
style! Day by day another cover song is being released
and to say it like this; many of them are waste of time.
Here we got a musical tribute to nobody else than Toots
Hibbert and his song 54-46. "The Milk" is a band from
Great Britain, formerly playing Punk. We can be happy
about the fact that they decided to turn it over into Stax,
Motown and classic Trojan Records sound...
The song is made in corporation with Brad Baloo better
known as one part of the Nextmen.

Don Man

Can't test my sound, can't test Tenor Fly and J-Star!
The original version goes by the Scotland based label
Capitol 1212 aka Professa Fresh and Fly T.
UK Mashup bossman J-Star did a big fat remix of the
song with vocals by Tenor Fly...

To the Top

No time to waste, here we go with the next remixed chart
buster. From club to the one drop melodica spiced version
made by Hamburgs Silly Walks and Junior Blender. For
me it's crystal clear, this is one of those remixes which
sounds better than the original.. BOOM!

Americano

Maaaaaad stuff! Everybody heard about "Americano"
(It doesn't make any difference whether you like it or not)
Heavy rotation on every station, here's the remix with one
of the biggest duo's in 2010 - Nas & Damian Marley

Sweety

After realising that too many people don't know this song,
I decided to drop it here (even if it's not a new one..).
With this track, we're about to kick a next Apple Juice Kid
production which will make your body move!
Wale is based in the US and want to break down musical
barriers as he did with this. Not to forget, he already had
songs with Lady Gaga, Knaan, Pharrell and others..

Good Friday

Kanye's project "G.o.o.d. Friday" continues with another
great track which features Common, Pusha T, Kid Cudi,
Big Sean and Charlie Wilson.. nice one!

Get the track at "Fader", riiight HERE

Insane

Another great relick is comin' up! Nearly everybody knows
Cypress Hill's "Insane in the Brain"... Countless times played
by so many DJ's and now it's coming back inna Prince Fatty
Style all the way from Great Britain. What's Prince Fatty Style?
Their Myspace describes it very well;
"The Sound is designed to Dub your feet with Rock Steady
beats and stimulate brain waves in a jazz-like way...
delivered in an up-beat, positive and organic funk fashion.
Mixed in an analog haze of vintage spring reverbs, tape
echoes and custom hi-grade mixing console"
Nuff said - let the music play!

Another Prince Fatty big tune "Milk & Honey",
definitely one of my personal favorites...

Lonesome

Right now we enter a state of deep meditation with the
Jazz vocalist Anna Luca featured on Club des Belugas,
one of the leading Nujazz Bands in Germany. Anna
Luca is doing several projects like "Anna Luca",
"Morgan" and the just mentioned Club des Belugas.
The following song is on the soundtrack from the
motion picture "Keep Surfing" (not seen yet? do it!)

Fuck You...

...that's exactly the line you will hear if you listen to the new
song from the upcoming album "Lady Killer". Cee Lo Green
is best known from his smash hit "Crazy" with Gnarls
Barkley in 2006, but had also many guest appearances on
songs from Seeed, Nas, Black Eyed Peas, Carlos Santana
just to mention a few. So it go, here's the video

The Tickler

We come to one of Erykah Badu's former background singers
Dana Nicole Williams better known as Yahzarah. Now she's
on Foreign Exchange Music, where here latest album "The
Ballad of Purple St. James" was released this year.
Not brand new but still a hot song is "The Tickler" produced
by Apple Juice Kid from North Carolina / US. It's a deep
one drop instrumental with a psychedelic touch and a wicked
video too....

Easy Swing

If you didn't know "Will Holland" aka Quantic, it's definitely time to.
The english dj & producer is living in Colombia and trust me, his
release list is so damn big, better you check it by yourself here.
From own productions to remixes, the sound is incredible and
you can hear many influences like hip hop, reggae, soul
plus many more! To give you a sample; this is a relick of
the all-time classic reggae riddim "Swing Easy" from the latest
album "Dog with a Rope".. Don't miss it!

One more? For sure!

Monster

Kanye West is about to give his audience a really nice gift. He
will release one free song every friday till christmas. The project
is called "G.o.o.d. Friday" and the first track was dropped last
week. Monster.. is the name and trust me, it's a monster for real.
Featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver and Nicki Minaj (by the
way, she's toooo bad!).  You can download the track on his
blog or listen to it now

In addition to Kanye's Monster collabo is a freestyle by Kendrick
Lamar... siiiiiiiiiiick stuff!

Los Angeles was always known as a place where gangster rap was
very prominent,  it could very well be considered the birth place of
gangster rap. With the likes of NWA and Snoop Dogg and more
recently Game and Nipsey Hussle staying true to LA’s gangster rap
ties there is one 22 year old artist named  Kendrick Lamar and in
his own words ” I’m just a good kid from Compton that wants to
rap. I don’t represent any colors but rather for my little sisters and
brothers. If you can’t respect that your whole perspective is wack.”
(Read more on Liveagl.com!)

Some real nice soul grooves from greece based producer Mr. Blend
again, respectively BnC but over all from Cast-A-Blast Records.
It's a remix from Phinix Elephant's tune "Press Forward"...
As promissed in the intro of the song; Style and fashion with
the soul version!

Sampled

Let's start with the original.. US pianist and keyboarder
Bob James, winner of two grammy awards, released the
LP "One" in 1974. It contained amongst others the song
"Nautilus" which was sampled so many times that we've
to wonder why there isn't an entry in the guiness book
of records.. just to give you an example of who was using
it (and these are only a few);  Ghostface Killah, A Tribe
called Quest, Camp Lo, Kruder & Dorfmeister, The Roots,
Run DMC and maaaaany more.

First things first, the Bob James Original

France based Producer "Blundetto" did a smooth and cool
soul reggae relick of the original. Lay back and relax, this is
the right time!

Greece to UK

Greece connects with the UK, Blend aka Mishkin and
African Simba and the result is called "Love Cup".
Award winning artist Afrikan Simba is active in London,
having worked with top sound systems such as Jah Shaka,
Aba Shanti and Channel One. A nice tune with direction
straight forward. African Simba drops out some lines for
the ladies while the instrumental is doing the rest,
check it out and turn it loud!

Where she is?

That's a question many people ask if it comes to Lauryn Hill..
Hip hop shop did a nice interview with her to clarify some things.

A few months ago a new song popped up on the internet,
till now nobody knows whether it's a new one or just a
rejected song from the last LP... just listen by yourself

The President

After the missed candidature for the presidency on Haiti,
Wyclef keeps it goin on musically. For this song with one
of Jamaicas's sweetest voices - Barrington Levy...!
The song is taken from his upcoming album
"The Haitian Experience"

Summer?

At the moment it seems like the summer is over at least here,
only chance is to wait for "Another Summer" and there it is;
We talk about 9th Prince (by the way, younger brother from
RZA and founding member of Killarmy) who's givin' us this
boomin song featuring RZA, Kinetic and Outlines.
Needless to say - there's a video too, directed by the boss
himself.. RZA (and lots of ladies in it)

London calling

Don't know why it comes to so many "takeover" tunes like
in the last posts, but here comes another one. Straight out of
London, "Best unsigned International Hip-Hop Artist  2008"
at Craves Fest awards in Canada, Charlie Slot kicked a nice
combination song with UK's finest Rodney P and Killa Benz.
No more longer talking "RUN EVERYTHING" - Big tune
and a really nice video too!

Heat

In the mood for some crazy shit? If yes, continue otherwise it would
be better you leave now.. Back in 1989 singer Chris Isaak released
a song called "Wicked Game", a smooth an slightly pornstyle touched
tune with a even more porn touched video.. It was a big hit on MTV
and VH1 (at least maybe because the danish supermodel Hellena
Christensen was featured in the clip..)... so it begins. Imagine that
jungle veteran General Levy meet Chris Isaak (and of course Hellena,
who knows?) in the studio and they started jammin' around; the
result can't be something regular don't?
On some lazy sunday I thought to myself, let's do some silly remix.
Here you can listen to what I do if I get bored;

Jahdan again and again

It's Brooklyn in the house, setting the dancefloor on fire!
DJ/producer Sammy Bananas (Fool's Gold) and singer/party
starter Maggie Horn (Good Peoples) aka Telephoned did
this wicked pumpin' tune featuring Jahdan Blakkamoore.
Get on your dancing shoes and move to this ya one!!

Takeover

Right now, we have some rough fresh stuff all the way from
jamaica. Original rude boy Spragga Benz rides on a instrumental,
which is a little bit old school like and trust me -he's doin it
bad to the bone! The tune is taken form the new Spragga LP
"Shotta Culture".
While listening to it I remember tunes like
Bounty Killers "It's a party" featuring one of New Yorks
finest Smif-n-Wessum aka The Cocoa Brovaz.. Boom Bang!

Run Your Town!

Another premier is about to come, between the recommendations
you'll find some exclusive remixes by dizzlematic. Be sure that
most of them are released for the first time! From Reggae to
Hiphop and more out of my muscial lab. First one to drop goes by
JayZ, Rihana & K. West, run your town in a smooth style
... stay tuned ...

The General

...on his Myspace Site they call it "‘Urban World Music
with a message" of course, this fits very well but
there's an easier way to describe Jahdan Blakkamoore...
BOOM BLAST DYNAMITE FOR THE SPEAKER!

you think that's it? no way, "Ticklah" made
a wicked Dub/Reggae remix with no remorse!
